EUROPEAN HPL SUMMIT brings the industry together

This year, the EUROPEAN HPL SUMMIT will take place on October 23-25 in Porto / Portugal. At the event, participants can expect a two-day, varied conference program with the main topics of "market development", "design and trends" and "environment and sustainability". The extensive lecture program can be found on the ICDLI website (link to the program). "Our HPL SUMMIT is the key industry event of the HPL world. If you are looking for the latest trends from the world of wood-based materials and current industry figures and developments, then Porto in October is the place to be.", says Sven Weihe, ICDLI General secretary.

Highly international speakers

On stage, the association welcomes Oliver Balch, a British author and freelance writer at Reuters, The Guardian and Financial Times who specializes in business and international affairs. In a keynote, he will speak about the sustainability challenge for the European economy. This will be followed by the two Human Resources experts Joana Castro Pereira (Peppermint) and Elvira Cardoso (Soul Temple), who will look at the opportunities and challenges of cross-generational workforces. The second day of program begins with a lecture on „International Economics and Trade with a focus on Southern Europe“. Rui Henrique Alves, FEP – School of Economics and Management – University of Porto, has been invited to speak. He is currently at the Permanent Representation of Portugal to the European Union, as the Head of the ECOFIN Unit (“Núcleo de Economia e Finanças”) and Financial Counselor. Further lectures are planned on the topics of “Design language of the future”, “Modular construction” and “The impact of business investments on the HPL market”.
